General social survey
About this book
As part of a program of cross-national research, the General Social Survey (GSS) undertook in 1982 a collaboration with the Zentrum fuer Umfragen, Methoden und Analysen, (ZUMA), of the Federal Republic of Germany. The project was funded by the National Science Foundation under Grant No. SEC-8118731. This collection explores the attitudinal similarities as well as differences between the two countries on a range of social issues. A common set of questions was included on both the 1982 GSS and ALLBUS. These common items included questions on such topics as job values, abortion, anomia, and subjective social class. The 1982 ALLBUS also contained several GSS items that were not contained on the 1982 GSS, but have been used on the GSS in recent years. The third file is an SPSSX Export file.
