Gaspar van Wittel

The collection of the National Library of Rome, the Library is exhibiting for the first time, the complete collection of 52 drawings by Gaspar van Wittel. The designs are one of the most important collections of Prints and Drawings Section of the Library and a point of reference for all scholars of the Dutch painter, trapiantatosi in Italy since 1674 and father of Luigi Vanvitelli, the architect of the Palace of Caserta.
