Understanding group psychotherapy

Dr. Yalom brings the group from content to process, establishes group norms, establishes a supportive group environment, and builds trust among group members. Between sessions, he comments on the situations depicted and the techniques used. The patients are actors but the situation and dialog are drawn from Dr. Yallom's experience with real patients in outpatient therapy.
