About this book
The book is divided into two parts. The first presents curatorial texts written by Raúl Niño Bernal. The second presents visual thoughts, collections and diagrams, reports of material and immaterial experiments, referring to the community research in art carried out by artist Vera Lúcia Didonet Thomaz who dedicated a long-term daily poetic processes (1998-2019), in this case, before and after the dismantling of Casa Estrela (Rua Zamenhof, 56, Alto da Glória) and its reassembly into the Marcellin Champagnat Forest, Campus of PUCPR, in Prado Velho, Curitiba. The book comprises photographs (macro) and images using electron microscope technology (micro and nano), from experiments in natural resins, collected from the Araucaria Columnaris (pine) in the original garden, preserved in laboratory glassworks for years. The publication 'Irregular Polytopes' is the corollary of the exhibition and museographic postdoctoral project based on the artist's knowledge of the relationship between arts and sciences, where "we can find new perspectives to understand the relationships of integration, cooperation, empathy, which other life forms incorporate in their conditions of habitability, thanks to the experiments carried out with resins of Araucaria Columnaris (pine) presented in crystallizers and Petri dishest."--Page 8.
