He knew nothing about Alpha 3461. They had used the same cabin for three years already, and they were going to use it for seven or eight years more. He didn't know what she looked like, how old she was or what she did. Gareth is travelling on the starship New Adventurer. Half the passengers on the starship sleep for two weeks, then the other half sleep for the next two weeks. He is forbidden to meet Alpha 3461, but he can't stop thinking about her. How can they meet?
