Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods

About this book
Almost 30 years after its entry into force on January 1, 1988, the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sales of Goods (CISG) has become the purchasing right for the international sale of goods. 87 states that handle more than two-thirds of world trade have ratified the CISG. As the first international commentary on the CISG, the first edition has already become firmly established. Different authors from different legal systems also address the specific problems of applying the CISG in each jurisdiction. The work comments on the provisions of the CISG article by article, its structure follows that of the CISG. Special topics, such as e-commerce and the CISG, will be dealt with in the context of commenting on the relevant articles.
