Byron Riblet pioneered the use of reliable mining cableways, first in British Columbia, and eventually around the world. His company later made the transition of equipment from mining to the skiing industry when the company evolved into a a leading chairlift builder. This combines information about many Northwest and British Columbia mining regions where Riblet's system were enjoyed as well as skiing resorts. (jvl).
