Ähnlich wie die Autoren der Schule von Gaza oder Johannes Philoponus versucht er, die philosophischen Angriffe auf das Christentum - offensichtlich korrespondiert er mit paganen Intellektuellen und zitiert ein unbekanntes Stück aus Julian Apostata - mit deren eigenen Waffen zurückzuschlagen, besonders dem methodischen Rückgriff auf die aristotelische Logik. The present work makes two of these texts accessible for the first time in a (critical) edition and thus creates the basis for their author to outline and to classify historically: It is a Nestorian who at the turn of the fifth to the sixth century not only takes a position on the theological questions of the time, but also documents the change in the philosophical discourse that it went through in said epoch.
