Eight case studies of powerful grass-roots opposition, protest and pro-democracy movements that have arisen around globe in recent years, grouping them together under term "indignados." Divided into sections on Africa/Middle East (Arab spring), Europe (Spain and 15- M), Americas (Occupy Wall Street, students in Chile) and Mexico (student movement YoSoy132). In each case, assesses their effective contributions to democracy.
