China's Christian Martyrs

China's Christian Martyrs is the first attempt to document those who have been martyred for Christ in China from all the various Christian creeds. Since the Nestorians first introduced the gospel to China in the seventh century, an estimated 250,000 Christians have been martyred. They include some famous names, but the great majority have been ordianry men and women, boys and girls, who perished in countless places and by the most barbaric methods because fo their faith. - From back cover.
