Jasmine's grandfather teaches her Chinese calligraphy by drawing and making up stories together. Cleverly hides Chinese characters in the drawings with one or two characters included in clear writing on every two page spread so you can practise drawing them for yourself. Includes information about Chinese characters and words from the story as well as a couple of paragraphs about Chinese art and a list and explanation of five Chinese treats. The illustrator has used collage to create the vibrant and colourful illustrations - beautiful and very clever work.
