Disabled Women And Domestic Violence Responding To The Experiences Of Survivors

This book builds on the study on the needs of disabled women experiencing domestic violence and abuse in the United Kingdom, and the services available to meet those needs. The authors outline what is known about domestic violence and disabled women, but also describe experiences of domestic violence and abuse perpetrated by intimate partners, family members and paid carers. Also activism, understandings, policy and practice in relation to abused disabled women is discussed and the failings and gaps that exist in terms of services are described.
