Women's Participation in Mexican Political Life is a collection of fifteen original essays that draws together the expertise of well-known Mexicanist, Latin Americanist, and gender scholars from Mexico, the United States, and Europe. The essays analyze the participation of women in different arenas of Mexico's political life: in elected and appointed positions, as feminists and grassroots leaders, as members of rebel groups and nongovernmental organizations, and so on.
