The heart knows

Texas doctor Matthew Barnes has dreamed of buying the Victorian home that houses his medical office - a building he rents from a certain Miss Abigail Ryan. But when she unexpectedly arrives from New Orleans set on evicting him, Matthew finds himself strongly attracted to his beautiful landlord. In spite of his feelings, Matthew knows he could never marry a woman who lacks his love for the Lord, much less one whose heart is full of bitterness. As Abigail returns to New Orleans, Matthew, hoping that one day God will allow them to be together, prays earnestly for her salvation. Only God can give Abigail release from the bitterness she has harbored since her father's death. Without first knowing God's love, will Abigail ever be able to know true love?
