Walter & Albertina Sisulu

Walter and Albertina have lived through and witnessed the major events of the last century that shaped South Africa. Their stories have become one in this history of the struggle. Theirs is a partnership of 58 years, a marriage in the service of the struggle. Albertina Sisulu is one of those women who suffered immensely and who struggled heroically without ever flinching. In the dark days after the Rivonia Trial, she was one of the key links between the internal and external movement, and kept the embers of resistance alive. This book is about these two legends.
