Recent decades have seen a drastic evolution in the recognition and treatment of tumors of the hand, wrist, and peripheral nerves, particularly with the rise of new diagnostic tools and procedures. A team approach has now evolved, so orthopedic, hand and micro-surgeons will need to liaise with their colleagues in oncology, imaging, and pathology in planning and implementing the appropriate surgical treatment for their patients.
