The Stand-In Bride
About this book
Wealthy Sebastián Santiago is incensed when he finds that Maggie, his young fiancee’s widowed chaperone, has not been following his precise instructions for molding Catalina, his bride-to-be. Maggie threatens to quit but when a family crisis intervenes, she is obliged to return with them to Granada and continue to supervise Catalina’s path to matrimony. However, when Catalina finally and dramatically rejects the wedding plans, Sebastián orders Maggie to take her place. At the same time, Maggie is reliving her bitter experiences in Spain years before, when she was married to a con artist and thief. She discovers deep feelings for Sebastián but is not sure she can trust herself, or him.
