Menin Road - Ypernstrasse

For this artistic project, 40 national and international artists are invited to investigate the landscape and architectural relics of the First World War, along the Menin-Ypres road. The exhibition is based on the concept of digging in the earth. The war landscape is emphasised or hidden not only with monumental sculptures, land art, paintings and literature but also via minimalist and poetical activities. The works of art are displayed on and close to the road from Ypres to Menin, in 19 surprising indoor venues or in the open air. The curator of this exhibition is artist Johan Tahon.
