A place to call home

As Tess and her church group from Fairhills, Pennsylvania, help rebuild the homes and dreams of devastated hurricane victims in Florida, she finds herself caught in a downpour of emotions. Pete Macfarland, the handsome newcomer from Connecticut, simply will not blend into the woodwork. But the requirements of Tess's college course—a published paper on her experiences in Florida—throw a wrench into their flourishing romance. When Pete's hometown newspaper decides to run Tess's article, coincidence quickly dissolves into calamity.
