“The Albigense Crusade and the Empire of Aragon” narrates the history of the Cathars and the military expeditions to the Holy See (also known as Apostolic See) which is related to the conquest of Aragon and Catalonia. In this book, the reader gets to know heresies, the Albigensian Crusade (also known as Cathar Crusade), the conquest of South America, the balance of power between the kingdoms in Spain and the European panorama of the 13th century. It’s a trip through the western world, to the crown of Aragon, France, Castilla, Navarra, Sacred Empire, England, Sicily, following the spirit of the monarchs’ and feudal gentlemens’ crusades in Europe of these times.Los Cataros y el Imperio Aragones cuenta la historia de los cataros y la expedicion militar organizada por la Santa Sede para combatirlos, hecho este ultimo intimamente relacionado con la reconquista aragonesa y catalana, A lo largo de la narracion se van mostrando las herejias, la Cruzada Albigense, la reconquista hispanica, el equilibrio de poder entre los reinos peninsulares y el panorama europeo del siglo XIII. Para ello el ensayo hace un recorrido a traves de Occitania, la Corona de Aragon, Francia, Castilla, Navarra, el Sacro Imperio, Inglaterra y Sicilia, retratando el ideal caballeresco y el espiritu de cruzada de los monarcas y senores feudales de la Europa de esta epoca.
