Suddenly, his gaze stops on a thick tome of ageless lore, the one treasure he’s been searching for. The man rushes forward, throwing his trepidation aside as he stanches up the volume and opens to the first page. He begins to read, but as the words sweep through his mind they become difficult for a mere moral to comprehend, pulling the man deeper and deeper into a place of infinite cosmic recursion. As reality begins to melt in on itself, the adventurer has one final thought: was it worth it? The mysteries of the universe coursing through his very being, the man smiles with satisfaction, transitioning into an existence beyond time or space.
