Il participio come nome e come aggettivo
Il participio come nome e come aggettivo
About this book
The participle is a verbal adjective. Having the characteristics of a noun-adjective and a verbal adjective, it presents a challenge for the theory of parts of speech. This work studies the participles that best exemplify these characteristics, thus exploiting the potential inherent in Indo-European languages. The goal of this study is to understand what the term "verbal adjective" means on different levels of analysis. Particular attention is devoted to the nominal and adjectival functions of different forms of the participle.
