Keep Watching the Sky is a book of omens and portents. Torra's cautionary title may come from a fifties Sci-fi movie, but his poems have the nervous energy and trembling alertness of a seismograph. He is registering our moment, looking for what matters, what can be our guide. These are visionary poems, ecstatic, improvisatory and risk-taking in their strategies.
