Black magick is alive and well in Berkeley, California, and only the Berkeley Blackfriars have the know-how and chutzpah to stop it. A magician commands a demon to destroy the avocado, sending the world into a guacamole-deprived frenzy. When the Blackfriars investigate they quickly discover that the magician was not working alone, and that avocados are not the only things targeted to disappear.
