"After the death of her husband and daughter in an accident, Diane spends a year locked up at home, unable to regain control of her life. Her only anchor to the real world is Felix, her friend and partner in the literary cafe Happy People Read and Drink Coffee, which Diane has not set foot in again. Determined to find a new opportunity away from her memories, she moved to a small town in Ireland, in a house by the sea. The inhabitants of Mulranny are cheerful and friendly, except Edward, her sullen and wild neighbor, who she derives indolence, anger, hatred and, much to his dismay, attraction from. But should she deal with her new feelings? And then what do you do with them?
