Light and Shadow

Carolyn was cast out of her family when she married for love. When her husband died she had to make her own way in the world and she became an actress. After an attempt to kill her a strange man surprises her in her bedroom and angrily informs her that she is coming home to pretend to be a "loving" wife for six months afterwards he will let her go. Confused she denies that she is his wife until she realizes that he must have confused her with her twin sister Cynthia. Determined to help her weaker twin escape a man -who must be a monster to drive her away- she pretends she is Cynthia. Everyday that she lives with this angry man however she becomes more and more confused how could this man be a monster?
