A dream of thee

A dream of thee
About this book
Actress Catriona Forbes returns home to Scotland to visit her grandparents - and she's sorely in need of a break from her hectic lifestyle anyway! She's accompanied by an 'other man' who is quickly dispatched by the hunky hero Lachlan Erskine, now a famous playwright. Heroine is hostile to Lachlan because he had avoided her in the past.
She thinks it’s reverse snobbery since Lachlan always came across as a 'know-nothing' local.
Lachlan is aware of this and wants a spot of revenge before he seduces the now-legal age Catriona. He threatens to throw her grandparents out of their cottage if she doesn’t accompany him to a windswept island to help him with his new play - which greatly surprises Catriona, as until this point, she had no idea the 'know-nothing' local has made good...
She reluctantly stays with him in an abandoned stone house while they act out various scenarios for a murder mystery. Romantic!
After a few exhausting days of psychological torture, Lachlan reveals that surprise! The play is already written. He just wanted to be closer to the heroine. 'Happy ever after' ensues...
