Petroleum operations on the Canadian continental margin

A survey of the major legal issues, under both international and domestic law, associated with oil and gas exploration, development and production from the Canadian offshore. The section of Canadian law includes a discussion of: the extent of Canada's continental margin; problems with jurisdiction in the arctic; the federal-provincial offshore dispute; and the Canada - Nova Scotia Offshore Resource Agreement. The impact of the National Energy Program and the Canada Oil and Gas Act is also assessed.
