A collection of more than five hundred letters, written between 1639 and 1647. Two letters in part 2, no. 402, p. 784-785 (dated 1639), and no. X, p. 1020-1025 (dated 1647), are addressed to Johan Maurits van Nassau-Siegen, who was the Dutch governor of Brazil from 1636 to 1644.
