About this book

The fundamental problem of economics (FPE) is scarcity of resources and competition over scarce resources. The solution to the FPE is explained by economic science, which deals with the production and distribution of market goods and services. The sustainable production and distribution of market goods and services is possible only under conditions of good-governance government (G3) and markets, rule of law and protection of human rights, including property rights. Ethiopians should not waste time to "rediscover the wheel". During 1942-1975 Ethiopia had already established, based on global good-governance government (G4) agreements, a good-governancegovernment (G3) (undertaken government reform) and a market economy (introduced market reform). All that is needed to bring about sustainable development in Ethiopia is to ensure that the government and market reforms of 1942-1975 have continuity. The aim of this book is to introduce the boundaries, theories and principles of economic science (or the theory of market economics) to the Amharic speaking public, and to show how there can be continuity and sustainability of good-governance government and market economy.
