The great Austrian Empire has a problem - the treasury is empty. The cruel Poritz of Ludika has a solution - to open a school for the Jews. An illogical solution indeed, but the Poritz intends it as a decoy to expose the residents of tiny Ostropole to the winds of enlightenment, and to forcibly draft them into the army.
