40 photographs of window-down burners - graffiti pieces painted under the windows of trains - taken at the beginning of the 1980s, hip hop's decade of power. Many of these images have never been seen before; all are a unique document of an era which still resonates in modern art and the street art and turntablism that informs modern hip-hop. Every style is represented, in explosions of flow and colour adorned with tags. Commentaries and dedications accompany each image.
