Throughout history, the Black church has consistently been a place that African Americans turn to not only for spiritual growth. Featuring Scripture, quotations from prominent African Americans, reflective commentaries, prayers, litanies, and benedictions, "Soul Pearls is a book of worship resources designed to help pastors and other worship leaders address the ongoing need for emotional support that occurs specifically within African American congregations. Organized around 52 topics of significance to African Americans, such as heritage/culture, family, freedom, self-worth, creativity, struggle, grace, and disappointment, "Soul Pearls encourages reflection and empowerment within the congregational community.
