Hollywood Movies on the Couch is the second in a series of books that analyzes Hollywood movies by Henry Kellerman, a psychologist/psychoanalyst. Fifteen films are dissected with analytical skill by placing the main characters on the couch to cast a different light on the screen story. The book is divided into three sections: Solos - where the main character of the story goes it alone, Duets - where two characters need to work out their problems together, and Trios - where there are three in a relationship, one of whom will be the key person on the couch.Included in the analysis are: Casablanca (Why does Rick really send Ilsa away?) and The Graduate (Is the main character in the story Mrs. Robinson or Benjamin?) The answers to these and other questions will both surprise and entertain the reader.
