Disarmament and international law

In this book the development of international law and the achievement of an agreement on general and complete disarmament are seen as two processes which will have a strong and lasting impact on each other. It is on the basis of a progressive development of existing international institutions and international law that peaceful relations among states will evolve in a world in the course of laying down its arms.
