This Is a Beginning

Heather Lynn and Jenny created this split zine to discuss their mental health. Heather Lynn, diagnosed with borderline personality disorder, writes about coming to terms with the diagnosis, her fears of sharing her mental health with people in her life, creates a list of ways to “FUCK SELF DOUBT,” and ends with letter between her and Jenny. Jenny's half starts with a note in which she shares that she has been raped and that connecting to others through zines has been important to her. Jenny writes about her drug and alcohol history, beauty standards, and unsupportive parents.
