Madelyn Grey expected to create a stir when she presented herself at the mansion of Owen Prince, governor of Kentucky and candidate for U.S. President, to announce that she was his long-lost daughter. But she could not anticipate the reaction of the governor's adopted son, Taylor Champion, a powerful newspaper publisher.
