Neurobiology of essential fatty acids

Papers from a symposium held in Palm Cove, Far North Queensland, Australia, in July 1991, discuss recent developments concerning the dynamic involvement of fatty acids and phospholipids both in nervous system function and in disease processes. Topics include the molecular biology of enzyme and gene regulation, physiological and pharmacological aspects of lipid metabolism, and mechanisms of biological signal transduction, as well as the molecular mechanisms of cerebral ischemia, convulsive disorders, and inborn errors of fatty- acid catabolism.
