Brian Delf has illustrated many internationally known encyclopedias and atlases. Until he fell under the spell of the Amsterdam canals, fourteen years ago. For almost twelve years he drew the canal houses, house by house. A monks work, yes, but what a pleasure it is! The architecture, the materials, the small architectural details, he recorded everything. The unprecedented beauty of the canal houses is once again confirmed in these drawings.
