Crossing la línea, the line dividing Mexiko and the United States, has been miguel's dream for years. Little does he know what dangers and hardships are in store for him as he sets out: muggers, corrupt police officers, train gangs on what is known as the mata gente (the "people killer"), and the greatest obstacle of them all: the deadly desert on both side of la línea.
