Écrire la magie dans l'antiquité

This work collects the proceedings of an international conference whose goal was to better identify the writing, utilization, and transmission of the written sources for ancient magic, and to place them in the framework of the Mediterranean world. These proceedings reflect the intersection of recent scholarship in philology, papyrology, epigraphy, Egyptology, Assyriology, history of medicine, and history of religion. They center around three themes: the writing of magical texts, the transmission of magical knowledge, and the contextualization of magical practices in the ancient world.
