Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels2009

The book is a photographic record of the construction of the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels. The entire book is photographs, and instead of text, there are captions on the pages to highlight what is happening with those photos. The book begins with the Ground Blessing in September of 1997 and concludes with the Dedication on September 2, 2002. All of the construction photos were taken personally by Cardinal Roger Mahony over the course of five years. The original collection of photos has over 9,000. The book shows all stages of the construction and enhancement of the space over the years. Many of the photos show actual construction workers.
