Connie Weaver: Teacher, divorced single parent and lone caregiver to an elderly and difficult mother. She doesn't have time for anything else -- like romance. Years ago, she thought she and Jim Campbell could have a life together, but that was before she knew that the one thing he wanted was the only thing she couldn't give. Jim Campbell: Successful businessman who's left the business. He's back at school -- as the headmaster this time. He's a great teacher. He can handle the mostly wonderful, sometimes difficult students, the demanding faculty and the interfering parents. What he can't figure out is what to do about Connie.
