The look across the eyes

A partially autobiographical short play, linked with 'A Lovely Evening', portraying an insignificant family struggling to survive in the shadow of the decaying post-war Cardiff docks. Gill's interest is in the buoyancy with which the human spirit carries on with the daily round in the face of darkest catastrophe. Broadcast as a BBC Radio 4 Afternoon Play in November 2001.
