Entangled paths towards modernity2009

This volume including three case-studies examine the adoption of socialist models of modernisation in the Balkans, focusing on Serbia, Bulgaria and Greece, covering the period 1870 to 1930. Within this framework three distinct socialist models - peasant populism, social democracy and communism are examined.
