Speaker's Committee second Report 2007

The aim of this report is to place in the public domain the NAO report into the economy, efficiency and effectiveness of the Electoral Commission in its use of resources (the NAO report being reproduced as an appendix). The NAO report focused on the issue of electoral registration and made eight recommendations to the Electoral Commission on the use of its new powers under the Electoral Administration Act 2006 to request information from electoral registration officers; on improving the completeness and accuracy of electoral registers; and on performance measurement.
