The Dutch bankruptcy act
The Dutch bankruptcy act
About this book
In this edition you will find an English translation, alongside the Dutch text, of the Faillissementswet (the Dutch Bankruptcy Act of 1893) as in force on 1 January 2015. The number of bankruptcies, suspensions of payments and personal debt relief arrangements has increased each year to record levels. As a result, there is a growing interest in the Dutch Bankruptcy Act amongst those engaged in Insolvency practice in the Netherlands. This includes academics, lawyers, foreign businessmen and creditors; all of whom will find the text of the law and its English translation a useful tool. A translation has already been published in the earlier loose leaf edition of Netherlands Business Legislation. However, this was without a translation of the provisions on personal debt relief arrangements.
