Women in policing1972
About this book
The role of the female police officer is reviewed. Discrimination against women solely on the basis of sex is now a violation of federal law and could result in the loss of LEAA grants. Problems and practices in the utilization of women officers are discussed and suggestions for fully integrating women into an effective police force are provided. Case studies on metropolitan police and their use of women officers are included in the appendices, as is a legal analysis of women's rights.t.
