The history of the federal judiciary

The History of the Federal Judiciary presents basic reference information about the history of the federal courts and the judges who have served on those courts since 1789. It was compiled by the Federal Judicial History Office in furtherance of the Federal Judicial Centers statutor mandate to conduct, coordinate, and encourage programs relating to the history of the judicial branch of the United States government.
