Their powers are based on the heritage of earlier civilizations, back in a time when magic was more commonplace and immeasurably more powerful. Sadly, none of these great Stygian sorcerers have devoted their knowledge to good ends. Rather, they have employed their sorcerous powers as tools of terror and domi¬ nation. Thoth-Amon is the greatest living sorcerer of the Fiyborian Age. He has often been Conan's arch-enemy. Conan is the greatest single obstacle to Thoth-Amon's plans for domination of the Hyborian Kingdoms. Once again Thoth-Amon threatens Conan and the peace of Aquilonia.
